Persons 60 years of age or older who have been Florida residents for at least one year as of the first day of classes may enroll tuition free as audit students (receiving no academic grade or credit). Registration is on a space-available basis, and regular tuition and fees are assessed; however, fees will be voided at the end of registration. Course enrollment is on a space-available basis at the prescribed time of registration or at any time during the late registration and add period (Note: late registration fees will apply).

Application and Forms

Qualifying persons registering for the first time must complete the Senior Citizen Audit Application and Senior Citizen Audit Residency Affidavit and submit both forms to our office at least one week prior to the first day of class.

Returning Senior Citizens should only complete the Senior Citizen Audit Application and submit the form to our office at least one week prior to the first day of class.

If you need assistance with the above instructions or forms, view the instructional Senior Citizen Audit Brochure or come to our office.

Registration

Please refer to the current Academic Calendar for dates and times of self-registration for courses. Self-registration for courses typically begins at 3:30 p.m. on the Friday before each term and is available online at myUCF. Audit requests for students who register prior to the times listed will be denied.

Senior Citizen Audit registration is on a "space available" basis. High demand courses are typically filled by full-time students. Eligible persons may need permission or an override to register for upper level or graduate courses. For additional information about override availability and procedures, contact the college or department offering the course and ask for assistance with the registration process.

To verify enrollment, get the Fee Invoice/Schedule from myUCF or pick it up at our office on the first day of classes. If needed, the student can request assistance with course changes. All course changes and registration must be completed by the last day of Late Add.

Although the Fee Invoice/Schedule may display tuition and fees, the Cashier's Office will void fees after registration ends.

If you are unable to register before the close of Registration, register for UCF 1500, the "UCF Temporary Course." This will allow you to enroll during Late Registration yet not incur the $100 Late Registration Fee.
